Summary
The junior controls hardware designer/engineer is an entry level position focused on learning and performing various tasks of controls hardware design. In this role, you'll work closely with experienced Hardware designers/engineers, gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of hardware design and follow through to tackling issues that arise on the manufacturing floor. The junior controls designer/engineer is expected to perform the job with a continuous awareness of the affect their work on all other disciplines in the engineering and build of the systems. Good communication and cooperation with peers and management is a persistent requirement for this position. We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our controls engineering team.

- Real interest in learning automotive manufacturing from a control's standpoint.
- Any design with 2D CAD software is a plus, however, must be willing and able to learn AutoCAD Electrical.
- Basic understanding of electrical principles, industrial control circuits, and standard components.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- A proactive attitude with a strong desire to learn and solve problems.
- Must have basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must understand and follow safety & environmental regulations and identify safety/environmental concerns.
- Must adhere to the Quality System and participate in continuous improvement.
- Must be familiar with windows operating systems and software.
- Must have a professional demeanor, solid interpersonal skills with good written and oral communication capabilities.
