nWhat You Will Be Doing
nAs the Proposal Quality Engineer Staff, you will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams, supporting program proposals, and assisting in establishing quality budgets and cost commitments. You will also participate in independent reviews, including customer proposal reviews, audits, and executive leadership reviews.
nYour responsibilities will include:
n-Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including program management, contracts, engineering, and manufacturing
n-Supporting program proposals for the Precision Fires LOB, including Guided, Missile, Launcher, and Advanced Programs
n-Assisting in establishing quality budgets and cost commitments
n-Participating in independent reviews, including Readiness Acceptance Check (RAC), customer proposal reviews, and audits
n-Partnering with customers, suppliers, and sub-contractors to ensure quality requirements are met
n-Supporting all aspects of quality development programs, including production and support

nMUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start.
nBasic Qualifications:
nSTEM degree at the Bachelor level or above, or equivalent experience/combined education
nMust be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a secret clearance - DOD Secret
nUnderstanding of the Quality Management System (QMS), Quality Proposals and Quality Engineering
nProficient in writing Proposals and Basis of Estimate (BOE)
nStrong knowledge of creating accurate, complete, correct, current, and competitive Proposals / Basis of Estimate (BOE) and meeting proposal deadlines
nMust be able to effectively communicate and interface with other functions such as PM, Engineering, GSC, Prod Ops, Manufacturing, and customers
nStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work in a dynamic environment, ability to train employees, and the ability to multi-task
nPractical communication skills, including written, oral, listening, presentation, technical writing, and collaboration
nProficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
nAbility to work independently with minimal direct supervision
nAbility to interpret Drawings, Specifications, Contracts, and other engineering requirements
nDemonstrate ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical / process issues varying from basic to very complex
nAn understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
nExperience in the disposition of non-conforming products
nKnowledge of Configuration and Data Management
nExperience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvement
nAbility to travel ~ (25%)
nDesired Skills:
nSTEM degree at the Bachelor level or above preferred
nExperience with customer audits and negotiations
nExperience in writing technical and cost volumes
nUnderstanding of TINA Compliance and TINA SWEEP
nLean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
nStrong knowledge of Industry recognized Quality Systems/Models such as Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI), QMS System Audit (AS9100, ISO9001), AS9145
nDesire and ability to implement creative problem-solving techniques
nDemonstrate understanding of audit techniques and systems for their efficiencies
nEnsure corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and documentation is compliant with requirements
nQuality Engineering or Supplier Quality experience, as well as experience with developing and reviewing Quality Standards, methods, work instructional, and procedures for inspection
nAn understanding of the Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) SAP and Procure-to-pay (P2P) business systems
nExperience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements
nSecurity Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

nAbility to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
nWork Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
nSchedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
