Accounts Payable Senior Manager Purchase To Pay (PTP)
The role of an Accounts Payable (AP) Sr. Manager is to provide guidance, instruction, direction, and leadership to Managers, Supervisors and AP Specialists for the purpose of ensuring compliance with payables policies and procedures and efficient and effective payment for goods and services received. The AP Sr Manager will act as liaison with appropriate staff members and other departments to ensure the goals and objectives of the accounting department are met. The Sr. AP Manager must oversee the full-cycle Accounts Payable functions and lead the team in researching discrepancies and seeking quick resolutions. What You'll Do: Lead a team of AP managers and supervisors and provide oversight of day-to-day functions which may include purchase orders, invoice processing, payments, T&E support and help desk activities for multiple entities. Manage accuracy of invoice processing and ensure AP teams adhere to policies and procedures. Oversee research and analysis of Direct and Indirect AP teams. Act as liaison between AP and supplier partners as well as internal departments to ensure timely resolution of supplier and invoicing issues. Manage and perform monthly AP closing procedures for multiple entities and systems. Oversee and review AP invoice data for monthly accruals. Compile and analyze AP financial data for reporting requests as well as present AP aging data monthly during balance sheet reviews. Manage and provide guidance to the business on accounts payable aging reports. Assist in creating detailed Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and reporting for leadership, as well as using KPI data as a performance management tool with staff. Build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders in the accounts payable process. Collaborate on project implementations as well as acquisitions of new lines of business. Ensure all accounts payable suppliers, purchase orders, and invoicing SOPs are up to date and maintained accurately. Hire, develop and mentor team members. Provide cross training, goal setting and overall guidance for AP teams. Support internal and external audit requests as needed. Perform other assigned tasks and duties as necessary to support the AP department. What We're Looking For: A bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field preferred. 10+ years of accounts payable experience in a managerial role. Solid leadership skills. Extensive accounts payable leadership experience in a global organization. Expertise in domestic and international currency invoice processing. Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact with multiple constituents, including suppliers, executives, league personnel, among others. Highly organized, adaptable, with keen attention to detail. Work independently to resolve issues with little assistance. Must be a team leader with a positive attitude. Strong analytical and time management skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Microsoft Dynamics & Oracle Fusion experience a plus.
