The Scalable S-Band Radar (SSR) software organization is seeking a Software Lead responsible for the following: Leading a high-performing SSR software product team through effective structuring and mentoring, fostering a collaborative environment and guiding team growth and development. Designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions. Coordinating activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems. Developing and owning software architecture roadmap, future strategy, and pathway to get there. Accountable for the Software Product Team's overall engineering technical, capability, and schedule performance. Coordinating planning, organization, integration and completion of software development projects. Providing SW progress and plans to SW Leadership and lead product demos/presentations. Leveraging proven processes, lessons learned, and best practices from other parts of business or industry. Applying appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Planning and formulating product design and reviews to ensure compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Engaging in Requirement, Design and Code interchanges/reviews. Producing product estimates and collecting regular metrics to inform team progress and serve as historical basis for future work. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent engineering/technical degree with a concentration in computer science courses. 9+ years of software engineering experience 5+ years of C++ software development experience Experience leading a product team in Agile software development Experience with planning and executing large SW efforts Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and automation Experience with Software Architecture and Design Experience developing C++ tactical, real-time, multi-processor, framework and algorithm code Experience supporting program proposals and performing software estimates Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Level Clearance Desired Skills: Experience with Software Development Metrics Experience with Software Modeling (UML) Experience with Linux, Git, Bitbucket, Atlassian Tools Experience with latency/throughput assessment of software systems Experience with Cuda GPU experience Strong technical leadership skills Good interpersonal and communication skills Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, or Washington DC is $90,200 - $159,045. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
