Respiratory Therapist HospitalNight Shift 6:30a-6:30pResponsibilitiesAssesses patient's respiratory needs, plans care, and implements all aspects of respiratory therapy including:Mechanical ventilation; invasive and non-invasive.Breathing therapy and patient assessment.Postural drainage, percussion and bronchial hygiene techniques.Bedside pulmonary function.Blood gas puncture and analysis, blood gas analyzer operator maintenance and quality control.Responds to cardiac arrest and Rapid Response situations. Performs CPR.Emergency endotracheal intubation of adult patients.Requirements1 year of hospital inpatient experienceGraduate of an approved program of Respiratory Therapy.Valid New York State Respiratory Therapy license.Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)BLS/CPR certification.NRP and ACLS strongly recommended
