Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team in the aerospace industry, focusing on turbojet engine manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all suppliers meet our stringent quality standards and contribute to the overall success of our products. This role requires a strong technical background, exceptional critical thinking skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:

- Supplier Evaluation, Selection, and Approval: Conduct audits and assessments of potential suppliers to evaluate their capabilities, processes, and quality systems. n
- Supplier Development and Qualification: Lead qualifications of suppliers and components through FAI process. Collaborate with suppliers to improve product quality and increase productivity for cost optimization. n
- Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality assurance plans for suppliers, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies. n
- Monitoring and Reporting: Track supplier performance metrics, analyze data, and report on quality issues, trends, and corrective actions. n
- Root Cause Analysis: Investigate quality-related issues and facilitate root cause analysis to implement effective corrective and preventive actions. n
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, engineering, and manufacturing, to address quality concerns and drive improvements. n
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of supplier quality processes, including audits, inspections, and quality reports. n
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that suppliers adhere to all relevant regulatory and safety requirements within the aerospace industry. n
- Quality Management System: Responsible for the internal Quality Management System, conduct internal quality audits, and support registrar certification of the Quality Management System. n
Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field. n
- 7+ years of experience in supplier quality engineering, preferably in aerospace or a related industry. n
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100) and quality tools (FMEA, SPC, Six Sigma). n
- Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing processes and standards, particularly related to turbojet engines. n
- Initiative-taker with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced changing environment. n
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with a detail-oriented approach. n
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. n
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 40% of the time). n
- Due to the nature of PBS Aerospace’s business as a defense contractor, this position is limited to U.S. , as defined under applicable federal regulations. n
Qualifications:

- Certification in quality (e.g., CQE, CQA) is a plus. n
- Experience with advanced manufacturing techniques and materials used in jet engine production. n
- Knowledge of supply chain management and logistics within the aerospace sector. n
