Senior Manufacturing Technician

As a Senior Manufacturing Technician at Collins Aerospace, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of manufacturing excellence and operational efficiency. You will collaborate closely with assembly and engineering teams to implement process improvements, maintain regulatory compliance, and uphold our commitment to quality and safety. What You Will Do: Ensure hourly associates receive comprehensive training and maintain certifications in compliance with regulations, procedures, and processes. Assist and participate in audits to uphold quality standards and regulatory requirements. Contribute to the development and maintenance of procedures to support product and process improvement initiatives. Research and develop new manufacturing techniques and tooling to enhance throughput, reduce scrap/rework, and improve product quality. Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality teams to optimize manufacturing processes. Ensure all work adheres to approved data, manufacturing standards, and customer specifications, maintaining meticulous documentation. Work closely with hourly associates and support functions to meet customer requirements effectively. Drive and participate in 5S initiatives, training programs, and continuous improvement activities within the manufacturing area. Utilize root cause analysis and problem-solving tools (e.g., 5 whys, RCCA, fishbone diagram) to resolve manufacturing issues effectively. Perform other related duties as assigned to support operational goals and objectives. Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position. Qualifications We Prefer: Experience in general assembly techniques, sonic welding, bonding, riveting, and/or seat assembly. Proficiency in GD&T and blueprint reading. Prior experience in an assembly environment
aerospace or similar industry preferred. Previous experience in Quality Inspection. Experience in a Team Lead or supervisory role. Familiarity with job shop environments. The salary range for this role is 40,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
