We are seeking skilled and enthusiastic Part-Time Continuing Education Instructors to teach a variety of courses across disciplines including, but not limited to, healthcare, technology, business, arts, youth programs, trades, and personal development. The ideal candidate will possess substantial professional experience in their subject area and demonstrate a passion for facilitating engaging and practical learning experiences. Key Responsibilities Develop and/or teach courses to meet learning outcomes and promote students' active participation in their own learning. Create an effective learning environment that fosters students' intellectual curiosity and help students' problem-solve using discipline-specific strategies. Employ a variety of formative and summative assessments to ensure that classroom instruction leads to student learning and achievement of learning outcomes. Help students reach their academic, personal, and career goals while fostering a safe environment that respects diversity and encourages confidence in every student's ability to learn. Adhere to City Colleges of Chicago code of ethics, Board rules, and policies. Subject Areas Healthcare and wellness Technology and digital skills Business and entrepreneurship Arts and creative practices Trades and technical skills Personal development and enrichment Any other courses within the scope of continuing education Qualifications Extensive experience in the subject area(s) to be taught. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to create a positive learning environment and adapt to diverse student needs. Proficiency with technology and instructional tools. Coaching, mentoring, or training experience. Preferred Qualifications Industry certifications related to the course content. Experience developing curricula or training programs. Compensation
The compensation for this part-time instructor position will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and the course subject matter. Application Process
