Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for multiple functions including providing support to the HR department with the focus on Employee Relations. Duties may vary based on assigned area. Position Responsibilities: Provide administrative support to Employee Relations Team by scheduling meetings, working with unions to schedule grievances, answering telephone calls, and responding to basic Employee Relations inquiries from team members and managers. File all Employee Relations related paperwork; creating and labeling files. Assist as needed in administering Ocean Casino Resort's unemployment program. As needed in screening unemployment documents and write detailed letters to the unemployment state agency. Assist as needed with the leave of absence process. Assist as needed with the licenses required by Division of Gaming Enforcement for all team members. Assist at the Human Resources Reception desk when needed. Initiate timely telephone calls, faxes or emails to obtain, document or pass along needed information. Demonstrates a creative, flexible and high energy approach to impacting business results. Strong sense of urgency, drive and passion to take ownership of all projects. Able to work independently as well as in a team environment. Strong organizational skills and must be detail oriented. Ability to multi-task and prioritize. Collaborative team player. Essential Functions: Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise and stress relating to servicing customers in a high pressure and fast paced environment. Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility. Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds. Travel to/from work and on-site attendance to perform the essential function of the job.
