Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) is a world leader in the research, design and manufacture of infrared and visible focal plane arrays and camera products, delivering for over forty years. We have an immediate opportunity for a Senior Semiconductor Product Engineer in Goleta, CA to provide engineering project leadership and cost account management for focal plane array (FPA) technologies. You will work within a team to develop advanced SCAs utilizing single and dual color HgCdTe/HCT, III/V (InSb, InGaAs, SLS, nBn and others) semiconductors detector technologies. Specifically, this will include detector design, process development, manufacture, and test of SCAs at the RVS Goleta wafer/SCA fabrication facility. What You Will Do
Translate customer requirements for EOIR systems into viable product solutions that RVS can provide. Address complex problems to improve existing processes and designs through extensive conceptualization, reasoning, and interpretation. Utilize research and industry best practices to deliver innovative and unique solutions. Conduct data analysis to evaluate the testing and performance of semiconductor devices. Oversee multiple projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet technical specifications. Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including internal mission partners, external customers, and vendors. Lead a cross functional integrated product team (IPT) to meet or exceed customer requirements Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a STEM degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of relevant prior experience. Or an advanced degree and 7 years of related experience. Experience in a Semiconductor and/or Wafer Process environment. Qualifications We Prefer
Knowledge and understanding of any of the following: HgCdTe, III/V semiconductor or micro-bolometer (uncooled) detector physics, wafer processing in a cleanroom environment. Ability to understand and analyze data related to semiconductor device test and performance. Familiarity and experience with device design, test, and modeling tools such as MATLAB and/or TCAD Simulations Knowledge of readout Integrated Circuit (ROIC) Design & Operation Knowledge of Manufacturing Planning and Non-conforming Material Control Experience with failure analysis techniques such as 8D and Root Cause & Corrective Action reporting Understanding of Process Yields and Analysis Experience with Bids and Proposals Proficient in Microsoft Project application; Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) Experience; PMP Certification Experience with Design of Experiments (DoE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) Strong team leadership and effective oral and written and communication skills Ability to develop strategic strategies, both short and long term (2-5 years), to advance the development and application of infrared detector technologies, including road mapping and strategic planning in collaboration with RVS leadership. Experience driving development initiatives to innovate and advance infrared detector technologies, staying abreast of the latest industry advancements.
