Our Sr. Principal Software Product Owner/CAM Engineer will work in an exciting, adaptive, and engaging environment enabling rapid learning to drive success. The candidate will serve as Product Owner and CAM for a Software Team interacting with the Systems Engineering Team, Software Architects, Scrum Masters, and Software Engineers, supporting a large program. This position will support the shaping of the future of NC3 defense systems for the armed forces. This position is located onsite in Richardson, TX. What You Will Do: Act as Product Owner, bridging the Software Team and the Systems Engineering Team, helping us define and manage our backlog and execution. Work directly with the IPT Lead, Scrum Masters, and Software Engineers performing Software-Systems work used in a Mission Critical System program. Act as the CAM (Control Account Manager) for the scope related to your team, ensuring flawless execution. Interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a large program. Have the opportunity to mentor Interns, Junior, Senior, and Principal engineers. Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience. Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. Previous experience as Product Owner following Agile/SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework). Previous experience with EVMS (Earned Value Management System). Previous experience as CAM (Control Account Manager). Qualifications We Prefer: Experience with Agile SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle). Experience with Requirements Management (Decomposition, Derivation). Experience as a Software-System engineer. Experience with UML, SysML, MBSE, and CAMEO Modeling tools. Experience with Jira.
