Lead Fluid Systems Engineer/Specialist
As the Lead Fluid Systems Engineer/Specialist within the Fluid Systems organization, you will: Manage hardware and systems through the design process from initial concept through ground engine test for GE Aerospace's Commercial product technology development programs. Communication and presentation of key trade studies and decisions to technical and program leadership. Providing guidance to early-career engineering team members. Driving to meet customer deliverables. Drive supplier design efforts including both technical and programmatic aspects. Actively participate in internal and supplier design reviews. Complete necessary analysis and evaluation of proposed designs for assigned projects adhering to business standards and design guidelines. Work with senior technical leadership on system and component design CTQs. Support identification of suppliers and partners for new technology required to meet engine deliverables. Provide regular updates to technical leadership including presentation of design reviews, design guidance efforts, and programmatic reviews. Required Qualifications: For roles outside of the USA- This role requires advanced experience in the Engineering/Technology & Mechanical Component. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience). For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)). Desired Characteristics: Provide regular updates to technical leadership including presentation of design reviews, design guidance efforts, and programmatic reviews. Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
