Golf Course Maintenance Mechanic

The Golf Course Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and upkeep of all golf course equipment, including mowers, utility vehicles, small engines, and power tools. This role ensures all equipment is operating safely and efficiently to support the daily operations of the golf course maintenance team. Key Responsibilities:

Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical problems on all golf course equipment, including but not limited to reel and rotary mowers, utility carts, tractors, and small-engine tools. Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, sharpening reels and blades, tire maintenance, battery charging, and lubrication. Maintain accurate service records for all equipment. Ensure all equipment is clean, safe, and in proper working condition before use. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment in the equipment shop. Assist in training operators on proper equipment usage and daily maintenance tasks. Monitor and manage inventory of parts, tools, and supplies; order as necessary. Weld and fabricate minor modifications and repairs as needed. Stay current on industry best practices and maintenance techniques. Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in small engine or turf equipment repair (golf course or landscaping industry experience preferred). Knowledge of gasoline and diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and reel mower sharpening. Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and technical documents. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Valid drivers license. Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly and perform manual tasks in varying weather conditions. Ability to stand, bend, and work in cramped or awkward positions for extended periods. Work Schedule:

Early morning hours and occasional weekends or holidays depending on course needs and tournament schedules.
