Program Controls Analyst (P1)

The Product Support program area in the Land and Air Defense Systems Mission Area has an exciting opportunity for an entry level Program Controls Analyst (P1). The Program Control Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Program Managers with all business and financial efforts. This is an exciting opportunity to be engaged in program start-up activities, earned value analysis and estimates at completion. The Program Control Analysts will generate work products for various weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual routines including the following: Earned Value reporting including customer deliverables, Baseline Planning and Development, Estimates at Completion (EACs), risk and opportunity development, funding analysis, financial forecasting, Short Range Outlook (SRO), Annual Operation Plan (AOP) and 5-year strategic planning. The ideal candidate will have strong time management skills and a working knowledge of program finance, including EV, EAC development, and financial systems experience (APEX, EDIT+, PMX). The ideal candidate should be able to communicate effectively across Control Account Managers (CAMs), Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leads and Program Management (PM), understand EV cadence, and be able to assist in keeping a cross-functional team driving to critical deadlines. This position is being offered in an onsite capacity and is based on the needs of the business. Onsite work can be done at the Andover, MA location. Relocation assistance is not being provided. What You Will Do: Help manage the program's financial performance baseline, Earned Value Management System and monitor weekly/monthly earned value cost and schedule Estimates at complete using various Raytheon tools and formats, as required per policy Monthly financial forecasting including RPLAN updates for element of cost and key financial metrics, weekly short range outlooks identifying risk and opportunities to the forecast, annual updates to the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long Range Plan (LRP) Frequent collaboration with ~5 other Finance professionals, Program Manager, and CAM's/IPTLs Perform financial analysis to understand the monthly variances to Budget baseline and EAC positions Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel (high-level of proficiency), PowerPoint and Word Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills Ability to flexibly work in a fast-paced changing environment and manage multiple priorities while meeting critical deadlines Development of models and analysis within MS Excel to support program finance needs Ability to quickly learn & utilize management systems and tools Independent and self-motivated with minimal supervision required Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related field and less than 2 years relevant experience Experience in using SAP Business Systems or similar tools Experience with Microsoft Suite (i.e. Excel pivot tables, advanced formulas) U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements Qualifications We Prefer: Experience with EVMS (or similar process); or ability to achieve EVMS certification within 3 months of hiring Continuous improvement mindset and high attention to detail and accuracy. Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask effectively Experience with consolidating and analyzing large financial data sets necessary to ensure financial forecasts are accurate Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of customers and organization Enjoy working with data, completing reconciliations, resolving discrepancies and a strong attention to detail. Excellent initiative, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with an avid interest in learning and developing Self-starter with the ability to work proactively, and as a team member in a matrixed environment contributing new ideas. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
