25-26 Sr. Guest Educator
KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools seeks full-time, salaried Sr. Guest Educators to work in our schools. Sr. Guest Educators are passionate educators who want to become full-time, certified teachers. Sr. Guest Educators will be placed in classrooms as the teacher for the subject/grade. Sr. Guest Educators will be expected to carry out the duties of a classroom teacher. They will prepare and execute high-quality lesson plans. They are expected to maintain high expectations for both behavior and academics in the classroom, and communicate with the team to ensure a smooth transition in classrooms. It is expected that Sr. Guest Educators are actively seeking a Florida Teaching Certificate through the Florida Department of Education. Sr. Guest Educators will have timelines to follow and deadlines to meet to become certified teachers, which includes and is not limited to coursework, certification assessments, etc. Compensation and Benefits Starting salary for full-time Sr. Guest Educator: $41,000 Free individual health benefits (including medical, dental and vision) Free individual short-term and long-term disability insurance 403b retirement program with a company match Professional development The salary offered in the DocuSign doesn't include any stipends for which the candidate may be eligible. In our first year of paying out millage stipends, non-certified New-to-KIPP staff received an additional $3700. There are other opportunities to earn money at KIPP Jax in the form of additional stipends. This offering is subject to change each school year. Terms would be outlined in an offer letter, if issued.
