Job Summary Represents the company in planning, execution, reporting, and management of programs. Provides direction and management to specific development and production contracts, supporting internal efforts. Manages all phases of a program from inception to completion, including proposal preparation, negotiation support, program start-up, and monitoring of the program plan (budgets, schedules, status reporting). Continually assesses program progress and support requirements, planning and directing engineering, contracts, operations, and support activities. Acts as a customer conduit and interface for managing and reporting program progress, changes, and improvements.

Manage multiple interdependent programs and interface with various customers (internal and external). Coordinate efforts of program teams including Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Contracts, and Administrative areas. Translate program budget allocations and support internal departments to meet company satisfaction. Participate in strategic planning, project development, and proposal efforts. Develop and present status reports to management and customers. Respond to customer inquiries, monitor work progress, and prepare periodic reports and estimates. Prepare and staff sales proposals. A security clearance may be required. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Manage and administer assigned programs, including proposal development, negotiations, and monitoring cost and schedule status. Ensure compliance with all program, contract, and management processes. Establish and update program plans, schedules, and report on progress and performance. Ensure objectives are met with minimal risk, updating management regularly. Coordinate scope, budget, and schedule planning, tracking progress, and addressing issues. Lead risk management activities, identifying and mitigating risks and opportunities. Interface with customers, suppliers, and external services. Maintain involvement in all program aspects to identify issues and seek solutions. Communicate effectively within the team and across departments. Lead or support marketing and proposal efforts. Maintain accurate program documentation and serve as a resource for program guidance. Disseminate information and coordinate activities to meet contract requirements. Develop and implement new program management directives. Assist in developing systems and procedures for program management and resolve inter-departmental issues. Requirements

MUST BE A US CITIZEN AND ABLE TO OBTAIN A DoD SECURITY CLEARANCE. Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.S.c/B.Eng) and at least 7 years of related experience. Preferred background in engineering, with a Master's or MBA preferred. Experience managing DoD contracts and familiarity with FAR, proposal preparation, and export administration. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification within 12-18 months of hire required. Knowledge of military/aerospace standards, status reports, and contract management. Additional Information Salary range varies by location and experience, with a range of $111,500 to $185,800 annually for California.
