An established, multidisciplinary civil engineering firm is seeking a Structural Project Manager to support and lead transportation-related structural projects. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a growing, collaborative team on a variety of impactful infrastructure projects ranging from bridges and culverts to retaining walls and sign structure foundations.Key Responsibilities: Manage structural engineering projects, including developing scope and budgets, overseeing design, and coordinating work with both internal staff and external partners. Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and local officials throughout the project lifecycle. Analyze and design transportation-related structures such as bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and sign foundations. Sign and seal engineering documents as required. Prepare engineering project proposals and support business development efforts. Work collaboratively with other service leaders, project engineers, and team members to develop effective design solutions. Ensure compliance with project and organizational safety procedures and quality standards. Desired Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master’s degree a plus. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required; Structural Engineer (SE) licensure in Illinois . Minimum of 10 years of bridge design experience, including experience with DOT clients. Proficient in MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer (ORD), and structural analysis and design software. Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to lead projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and respond effectively to client needs. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of construction materials including steel, cast-in-place concrete, and precast prestressed concrete, as well as related construction methods, inspections, and document preparation. Positive attitude with a team-oriented approach and commitment to high-quality project delivery. Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this role is $100,000–$150,000 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skill level.
