Overview The Associate Vice President will oversee a portfolio of projects and programs, ensuring alignment with organizational strategic objectives and delivering maximum value. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex portfolios, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive results in a dynamic healthcare environment. Responsibilities
Lead and manage a portfolio of projects aligned with organizational strategic goals. Develop and maintain comprehensive portfolio plans, schedules, and budgets. Drive governance processes, including annual strategic planning. Oversee project intake, prioritization, and escalation pathways for efficient portfolio management. Refine Portfolio Change Management (project output release/version control). Establish, Maintain, and Improve the Escalation Path governance. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and communicate status, risks, and issues effectively. Monitor and manage portfolio budgets and financial targets through structured reporting. Ensure transparency and alignment through regular engagement and financial review. Identify, assess, and mitigate risks while enforcing quality standards across project portfolio deliverables. Implement quality control processes and track performance using key performance indicators (KPIs). Drive continuous improvement of the ePMO to safeguard compliance and operational evolution. Oversee multiple interrelated projects within the pipeline, developing comprehensive roadmaps with clear dependencies, risks, and milestones aligned with enterprise strategic objectives. Ensure sanctioned programs remain within scope, timeline, and budget through proactive project pipeline governance. Foster adaptable execution using agile, hybrid, or waterfall approaches as needed for ePMO project managers and enterprise project leaders. Iterate on a viable maturity model to ensure continuous improvement (e.g., CMMI or similar). Collaborate with executives, clinical leaders, IT teams, and external partners to align program objectives. Present clear status reports, dashboards, and financial summaries to senior leadership. Lead cross-functional meetings and steering committees to facilitate issue escalation and decision-making. Proactively identify and mitigate risks using data-driven insights and predictive analytics. Drive process improvement initiatives with innovative tools and standardized practices. Mentor and coach teams, ensuring they are equipped with the training, resources, and collaborative environment needed for success. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Required) Master's Degree (MHA, MBA, or equivalent) in Project Management or a related field (Preferred) Over 12 years of experience in project, program, and project portfolio management with a proven track record (Required) 5+ years of Program Management experience (Preferred) Additional Details
