We are working with a PACE program in El Paso, TX is looking for a mission-driven Medical Director. This leadership role has a strong support structure in place and is perfect for a clinically experienced physician who is passionate about serving the frail and elderly populations and who can effectively lead an interdisciplinary team.
The incoming Medical Director will play a pivotal role in overseeing the medical care of PACE participants, carry a small patient load, and primarily focus on oversight of clinical operations, quality initiatives, pharmacy, dentistry, coding, and provider teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient-centered care, uphold the PACE philosophy and model of care, have a proven ability to lead clinical and administrative teams, and will approach the first six months with a learner's mindset.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate care for participants across multiple disciplines.
- Maintain and improve clinical outcomes through oversight of medical staff and program quality initiatives.
- Provide leadership to the following teams: Clinical Providers, Pharmacy, Quality Improvement, and Utilization Management.
- Maintain a small panel of 10 patients with limited clinical responsibilities (approx. 10-20% clinical time).
- Participate in the Interdisciplinary Team and leadership meetings.
- Represent the program in the broader El Paso medical community.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO with licensure in the state of Texas (or ability to obtain).
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
- Geriatrics experience and/or board certification preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred - not required, but we will assess fluency.
- Leadership experience preferred; strong leadership potential considered.
- Must be enrolled in Medicare and hold an active DEA.
- Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
- Knowledge of the PACE model or experience working with frail/elderly populations strongly preferred.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base compensation: $300,000
- Total package value: $337,500 $347,500
