This is a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) facility that provides comprehensive services to seniors with chronic care needs. The program is centered on the belief that it's better for seniors to be served in the community whenever possible, with only about 7% of participants nationally residing in nursing homes. The organization encourages fellowship and independence while serving seniors and their families with dignity and respect.

Medical Director - Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE)
Job Details:
• Full-time Monday through Friday schedule• Provide general medical direction and supervision of the medical aspects of participant care• Responsible for delivery of participant care, clinical outcomes, and oversight of the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program• Develop and maintain medical policies, procedures, standards, and protocols• Provide direction and supervision to Primary Care Providers (PCPs) and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)• Conduct history and physical exams on new participants with event-based and periodic reassessments• Develop medical treatment plans and provide medically necessary services in various locations• Interview and evaluate PACE applicants and their caregivers, participating in Intake and Assessment decisions• Discuss medical conditions and prognosis with participants and caregivers to help plan future care• Participate as an active member of the interdisciplinary team, educating about diagnoses and treatment options• Attend team and family conferences and decision-making processes• Educate participants and families on health maintenance and chronic medical conditions• Order and evaluate appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests• Participate in provider on-call rotation as required• Must have current and active physician license to practice in Florida• Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice required (Geriatrics certification preferred)• Experience or added qualifications in geriatrics preferred• Must have CDS Certification and DEA Registration• Previous supervisory experience required• Minimum one year documented experience working with frail or elderly populations• Must have effective skills in physical assessment and chronic disease management for older adults
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
