Position Overview
We are looking for a talented Senior AWS Cloud Engineer to lead our Cloud Operations and Engineering team. In this role, you will design, build, deploy, and support highly available systems on AWS. We seek a candidate with deep expertise in AWS services and hybrid cloud architecture who can provide leadership and mentorship to team members. Your responsibilities will include developing scalable and reliable cloud solutions that drive innovation and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead cloud initiatives across multiple projects, ensuring scalable and secure architecture.
Work in an Agile environment using a DevSecOps approach and tools for infrastructure as code.
Mentor junior team members and provide leadership for infrastructure projects.
Design and implement resilient cloud systems with disaster recovery and high availability strategies.
Utilize CI/CD tools for infrastructure as code.
Build systems using AWS services such as EC2, S3, and RDS.
Ensure compliance and availability using AWS management tools.
Monitor system performance and implement improvements.
Manage security with AWS IAM, KMS, Certificate Manager, and Secrets Manager.
Support AWS analytics solutions in production.
Manage storage and backup in hybrid cloud environments.
Participate in on-call rotation for 24/7 production support.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Technology or equivalent with over 7 years of experience in infrastructure management.
3+ years of advanced experience with AWS services and hybrid cloud architecture.
Proficient in designing and deploying infrastructure with tools like CloudFormation and Terraform.
Extensive experience in auto-scaling and self-healing infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of AWS monitoring tools.
Expertise in managing IAM roles and security policies.
Proficient in Python and administration of Node and Java applications.
AWS CLI expertise.
Preferred Qualifications:
AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
Experience with modern deployment strategies.
Familiarity with serverless technologies like AWS Lambda.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and collaboration with technical and non-technical teams.
Ability to lead discussions and guide decision-making processes.
Strong problem-solving skills and proactive mindset.

This is a hybrid position with in-office days at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA from Tuesday to Thursday, and remote work on Monday and Friday.
The estimated salary range for this position starts at $125,500.00, but actual salaries will vary based on various factors including location, education, experience, and qualifications.
