MLB Players, Inc. is the for-profit subsidiary of the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA), responsible for managing the commercial rights and business interests of Major League players. We serve as the gateway for players and their licensing, marketing, sponsorship, media, and digital rights—bringing player-driven content, partnerships, and experiences to fans across the globe.

Position Summary The Administrative Assistant to the President of MLB Players Inc. plays a critical role in supporting the strategic and daily operations of the President’s office. This role requires a highly organized, discreet, and proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for managing complex scheduling, communications, travel logistics, and project coordination while serving as a liaison between internal teams, external partners, and the President, as well as MLBPI senior staff.

Key Responsibilities Executive Support (for MLBPI President and Senior Staff as requested)

Manage the President’s calendar, including scheduling meetings, travel, and events across multiple time zones. Anticipate and prioritize needs, ensuring the President is well-prepared for all engagements. Handle confidential and time-sensitive information with professionalism and discretion. Prepare and edit correspondence, agendas, and briefing materials.

Meeting & Event Coordination

Organize internal and external meetings, including logistics, materials preparation, and follow-up actions. Coordinate key events, including board meetings, strategic offsites, industry conferences, and sponsor engagements.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

Serve as a primary point of contact between the President and senior executives, MLBPA leadership, business partners, players, and agents. Support cross-functional collaboration with departments including Licensing, Marketing, Legal, and Player Services.

Qualifications 1+ years of experience supporting a C-level executive, ideally in sports, media, entertainment, or related industries. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Communications, or a related field preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities. Discretion in handling confidential information and high-profile individuals. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and productivity platforms (e.g., Slack, Zoom, project management tools). Notable interest in Major League Baseball and Major League Baseball Players. Must be flexible for possible travel.

Location:

This is a hybrid role, requiring three days per week in our New York City office. Candidates must have the flexibility to adjust in-office days or come in additional days as needed during the week.

Salary:

$50,000 to $55,000
