A growing organization is seeking a
Service Desk Specialist
to provide hands-on technical support and ensure smooth day-to-day operations across hardware, software, and network environments. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach to troubleshooting, a strong customer service mindset, and technical experience with both Mac and Windows systems. Key Responsibilities: Respond to user inquiries and provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues
Diagnose and resolve technical problems efficiently and effectively
Provide end-user training and support on a range of software applications and systems
Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, and relevant applications
Monitor and optimize system performance; troubleshoot as needed
Conduct regular system updates, data backups, and apply security patches
Manage and support LAN, WAN, and VPN environments
Ensure network and system security through firewalls, VPNs, and established protocols
Assist with setup, configuration, and maintenance of storage, networking, and server infrastructure
Help create and enforce IT security policies and procedures
Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 2 years of IT support experience
in a professional environment
Hands-on experience with Apple/macOS devices and laptops
Prior experience with
MDM tools (e.g., JAMF or Kandji )
Familiarity with
ticketing systems
such as ServiceDesk or ServiceNow
Experience managing
Microsoft Office 365
environments
Strong knowledge of
Windows and macOS
operating systems
Experience supporting communication platforms such as
Slack and Zoom
(AV troubleshooting experience is a plus)
Proficiency with
server management, network administration, and security practices
Familiarity with
virtualization technologies
like VMware or Hyper-V
