Annual Bonus and Stock options Overview Sedaro is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to build our culture of operational excellence. In this role, you will integrate CI/CD, security, and observability tools and automation for our Kubernetes-based multi-cloud environment, as well as rallying your teammates toward best practices. Team: DevSecOps Enablement, reporting to the Director of Engineering Location: In person in Arlington, VA U.S. Citizen or permanent resident status required Who We Are Our cloud-native simulation platform enables digital mission engineering through distributed, scalable, faster than real-time analyses across hundreds of interacting systems. We use CI/CD, Docker, Terraform, and Kubernetes to achieve high availability, security, and autoscaling across cloud providers. Who You Are You see beauty in a well-oiled machine You take ownership of technical challenges and celebrate team wins You thrill in equipping your teammates with force-multiplying tools and practices You embrace experimentation and autonomy without compromising quality You’re energized by deep learning and sharing knowledge across disciplines What You’ll Do Optimize multi-cloud production infrastructure for security, reliability, and cost efficiency Design and implement system observability with actionable alerting and measurable SLOs Drive automation through infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and continuous compliance Lead root cause analysis and blameless post-mortem discussions Search out risks using chaos engineering activities Foster Lean practices and a culture of continuous improvement Equity Unlimited PTO 401(k) with 4% match 100% premium payment for Medical Insurance Flexible work schedule with core hours Company provided lunches 3 days a week Requirements Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience 6+ years of professional experience in software engineering Expertise with cloud infrastructure and distributed systems architecture Experience implementing CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and observability practices Track record implementing security controls and vulnerability management Proficiency in scripting and automation Experience leading incident response and root cause analysis Proven ability to drive organizational adoption of technical best practices Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform CDKTF Experience with AWS and/or Azure Experience with IL4/5+ and/or NIST 800-171 Seniority level
