Summary The Supervisor - Financial Planning & Analysis role is responsible for maintaining accurate accounting of Revenue and Cost of the Transportation Business. This position must acquire understanding of TP Business and work collaboratively with Vehicle Logistics Team to provide meaningful analysis of P&L, Variance Analysis, Shipment Deviation, etc. This position includes the supervision of 2 Financial Analyst. Responsibilities Month-end Closing and Reporting
As Supervisor assist in overseeing the Transportation business segment for HMA, KUS, and Other small Customers Responsible for the completion of HMA Standard TP & Other Non-Standard Transportation, Revenue and Cost Accruals Responsible for explaining Monthly Results by determined schedule for: HMA Standard TP, FSC, Claims, and Others Summarize Monthly Financial Key Results and guide other Analysts in further investigating results Responsible for calculating Earned Revenue in compliance with US GAAP and IFRS Routinely Conduct Revenue Recognition tests on every audit cycle to meet the guidelines set by Auditors Profitability & Variance Analysis Responsible for Post-closing analysis and assigned TP Financial Index Reports Must acquire understanding of TP Business and work collaboratively with VL Team to provide meaningful analysis of P&L, Sales-mix, Shipment deviations, etc of TP Business Will analyze variances by: Actual vs. Business Plan, Month to Month Analysis, Month vs. YTD analysis Track Incremental Cost, Standard Deviations, Backup Carrier, Rail to Truck Shipment, etc. and m onitor the current business trends and provide forecast analysis upon request Work collaboratively with other teams to reanalyze all unrealized impacts Update Monthly Power BI Reports as needed
Red Folder or Business Plan and Ad Hoc Analysis
Red Folder Scenario Analysis or Contract review and Feasibility analysis Review Operation Department’s annual Business Plan. This would require an in-depth analysis of comparing the Business Plan to the Actuals for the current year and the year prior. Confirming all assumptions made by Operations to plan for any significant modifications in the business, whether there are process changes, port changes, volume redistribution, new business ventures, etc Create written and visual explanations for financial presentation using Excel and PPT Audit - CPA, Customer, or GKR Investigate and provide the transactions requested by auditors Justify company billing completion based on the term to defend the revenue and profit loss from the change Based on guidance from Local CPA and GKR, Financial Statements must be revisited and updated Other Assignments Assist in training of New Employees and creating Training Manuals of Transportation FA Update Training manuals as needed
