About the Role As the
Total Rewards Manager , you will play a vital role in supporting the people who deliver life-changing services across our communities. Your leadership will directly impact employee well-being and organizational sustainability.
Responsibilities: Oversee the design, implementation, and management of employee benefits programs , including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, wellness, tuition reimbursement, and retirement plans, with a focus on accessibility and affordability for a diverse workforce. Support leave administration , including FMLA, CT PFMLA, Workers’ Compensation, and personal leaves, ensuring employees receive clear guidance and support during critical times. Lead annual open enrollment
and benefits education campaigns, ensuring staff understand their options and feel supported in making informed decisions. Maintain compliance with all relevant laws and regulations , including ERISA, ACA, ADA, HIPAA, and state-specific requirements, to protect both staff and the organization. Conduct compensation benchmarking and internal equity reviews , supporting fair and transparent pay practices that align with our values and funding constraints. Advise HR partners, hiring managers, and leadership
on salary recommendations, pay adjustments, and job evaluations to promote consistency and equity across programs. Manage relationships with brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators , ensuring high-quality, cost-effective service and alignment with nonprofit priorities. Lead and develop the Total Rewards team , fostering a collaborative, service-oriented approach to benefits and compensation support. Collaborate across departments
(HR, Finance, Payroll, Legal, and Program leadership) to ensure Total Rewards strategies align with organizational needs, grant requirements, and budget realities. Promote staff engagement and retention
by communicating the value of Oak Hill’s total rewards offerings and identifying opportunities for improvement based on staff feedback and data. Drive continuous improvement initiatives , including system enhancements and process updates, to streamline operations and improve employee experience. What You’ll Bring: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree or relevant certification (CEBS, CBP, SHRM/HRCI) preferred. 3–5 years of experience in benefits administration, total rewards, leave management, or compensation. Experience in a nonprofit or healthcare setting preferred. Strong knowledge of federal and Connecticut-specific benefits laws. Experience working with vendors, conducting audits, and managing compliance reporting. Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, from front-line staff to executive leadership. What We Offer: Paid Time Off:
