Solution Architect - Cloud Computing
Partner with other Architecture teams to develop solution designs and review alternative solutions for the best fit. Strategize with customers to develop solutions based on criteria such as services, functionality, scalability, future-proofing, and cost.
Lead pre-production readiness efforts, including POCs, lab testing, and knowledge transfer; collaborate with engineering teams to accelerate software delivery.
Implement cloud computing architecture solutions addressing security, compliance, deployment automation, elastic environment sizing, and multi-tenancy implications.
Deliver Infrastructure, Platform, and Software as a Service solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and open source technologies such as Puppet and Jenkins.
Adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders from various business lines, often with competing needs. Maintain deep technical and business knowledge of industry trends in cloud security.
Design, implement, and operate secure architectures and reference architectures in public cloud environments. Possess extensive knowledge of GCP products and services.
Experience in the full software development lifecycle using Agile methodologies. Skilled in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Expertise in core infrastructure services including DNS, DHCP, network routing, and security management. Experience with Infrastructure as Code, Configuration Management systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
Operational experience with large, highly available transactional systems on GCP. Proficient in large-scale monitoring and logging platforms like ELK Stack, Splunk, and DataDog, with the ability to analyze and debug production issues.
Deep understanding of secure network and application design, with the ability to integrate security tools with IT infrastructure such as proxies, mail servers, Active Directory, and access controls.
