Spring Consulting, an Alera Group company, is looking for an Actuarial Analyst. Data collection, quantitative and qualitative review
Assist with and become proficient in the development, maintenance, and peer review of actuarial models for pricing, reserving, loss forecasting, and pro forma financial modeling
Support the preparation of actuarial reports, presentations, and documentation
Contribute to improvements in internal actuarial technical capabilities with the evolution of technology
Collaborate with team members on various projects and initiatives
Assist in the automation and improvement of existing processes and methodologies
New business and proposal support
Preparing deliverables and providing support for client meetings
Assisting with special projects and contributing as required
Travel to Boston for at least one in-person meeting annually with other Spring staff
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Progress in being able to pass the required actuarial exams for Associateship in the SoA/CAS, with at least two exams passed in the last two years
Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
High level of responsiveness and dependability
Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
Ability to work well in a team environment
Proven research capability and technical writing skills
