Northrop Grumman is currently looking for an experienced
Sr. Principal, Modeling and Simulation Software/Systems Engineer
to be responsible for weapon system simulations, integrating these simulations with other applications, and using these simulations to verify weapon system requirements. The role requires a strong background in both software development and analysis tools.
This position will be located in Northridge, CA.
The ideal candidate will have experience developing simulations as software products and utilizing those simulations for analysis. The candidate will contribute technically and provide leadership in integrating high-fidelity missile simulations into various environments, working with a diverse team on modeling, simulation, and analysis projects. The ability to ramp up quickly and contribute significantly is essential.
Basic Qualifications:
BS degree in an engineering discipline (Aerospace, SW, Systems engineering, or related) with 8 years of experience or MS with 6 years of experience.
Must hold a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a SAP clearance.
Proficiency in developing medium to large C++ cross-platform, thread-safe desktop applications, with significant experience on Linux.
Knowledge of object-oriented design and software architecture.
Experience with distributed systems and simulation protocols such as DIS or HLA.
Experience developing 6DOF simulations for weapon system verification and flight test support.
Experience with Python analysis tools (Scipy, Pandas) or Matlab.
Preferred Qualifications:
TS SAP, SCI clearance.
Experience with GPUs, CUDA, GIT, statistics, control theory, SIMULINK, SysML, and weapons modeling and simulation.
Experience with DoD simulation frameworks like AFSIM, AJEM, or other lethality tools.
Knowledge of GNC algorithms, sensor models, flight dynamics, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.

$137,400.00 - $206,000.00
This range is a guideline; actual offers depend on various factors including experience, education, skills, and market conditions.
