5 POSITION SUMMARY :

Must interpret all court actions and act upon them accordingly into the statewide Common Pleas Case Management System (CPCMS). Responsible for accurate and efficient processing of court and administrative duties into statewide CPCMS system. Performs clerical functions, customer service, miscellaneous filing and operates a computer efficiently. Provide assistance to other areas of the office when needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Report final dispositions and sentences to the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts (AOPC) through the CPCMS state wide system. Prepare and submit certification reports on all convictions for motor vehicle violations, under-age drinking, specified drug charges and other charges in CPCMS. Collect driver's licenses or affidavits for submission to the Bureau of Driver's licensing (Penn Dot). Secure access to the CPCMS statewide computer system Track, prepare, and submit compliance reports on jail releases and multiple offender treatment. Prepare bench warrants for arrest of defendant in CPCMS when ordered by the Court. Prepare files for daily purge hearings and notify Sheriff of bench warrant rescinds. Have all files prepared for Court according to Court List for arraignment, trial, and hearings (including purges, probation violation, summary appeal, etc.) When files are returned from Court, docket court-sheets and complete proper reports. Input appropriate information as to court action, petitions, orders, dispositions, etc into the statewide CPCMS system. Comply with instructions contained in Court Orders. Process complaints and transcripts as received by Magisterial District Justices in the MDJS computer system, into the statewide CPCMS system and prepare folders for new cases. Prepare and handle the mailing of notices for arraignment and trial as required by Rules of Court. Accept all Superior Court appeals and track and prepare the files for the appellate court. Daily communication in person, and by telephone, with other departments and the public to expedite information, answer questions, etc. Answer incarcerated defendant correspondences by mail. Process monthly ARD Expungement orders. Assist with docketing of criminal cases into statewide CPCMS computer system, miscellaneous filing and other related duties as assigned. Assist other divisions in the department when backlog occurs; handle designated responsibility when another employee is on vacation, sick, or out of work for any other purpose. Organize, develop and maintain reports as required. Process document scanning and indexing of document images Work efficiently with management to insure efficiency and increase productivity. Other duties may be assigned. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

High School Graduate or equivalent Proficient computer skills - keyboard skills of minimum 40 w.p.m. Interact effectively with public, personnel and throughout criminal justice system.
