Join Us As an Accounts Payable/Payroll Manager!
Schedule: 40 hours, Monday-Friday. On-site at our office in Auburn.
The Accounts Payable /Payroll Manager is primarily responsible for managing all activities within the accounts payable function. The Accounts Payable/Payroll Manager is a highly organized and detail-oriented role and will be overseeing all aspects of payroll processing and accounts payable functions. This key role is essential for ensuring the accuracy and timely execution of payroll operations and for safeguarding the companys financial integrity by effectively managing accounts payable processes .
As an Accounts Payable/Payroll Manager, you'll:
Management of staff.
Coordination in processing of all invoices/credits incurred across a multi hospital site; to ensure that control procedures are implemented and established to maintain accuracy, efficiency and timeliness of payments to suppliers to further guarantee that operational departments have the resources required to satisfy our patients needs.
Ensure compliance with IRS and other regulatory agency rules to eliminate exposure to financial loss; to evaluate existing systems/processes to optimize efficiencies and propose improvements to maintain/increase accuracy and productivity.
Oversee the 1099/1042 filing process.
Engage as the payables management liaison across all Vista Hospital departments to provide excellent customer service within the scope of responsibility.
Leads and processes bi-weekly payroll to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance, while identifying opportunities for process improvement. Enters, maintains, and/or processes payroll; information may include employees' hourly rates, salaries, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information.
Ensure proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, and other deductions.
Provides training and backup coverage to ensure payroll continuity and team development.
Works with an accounting team to reconcile payroll to the general ledger, review and reconcile 941s and assist with year-end W2 processing and reconciliations, as well as identify and correct any variances
Issues, or reissues, physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final terminations.
Identifies trends and system enhancements, ensuring the organization is audit-ready and in full compliance.
Evaluates payroll processes regularly to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency; leads improvement initiatives as needed.
The Accounts Payable/Payroll Manager will have the following:
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Strong understanding of payroll systems (ADP).
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to function independently and proficiently as a team member.
Tolerance for stress, organization and ability to work under pressure and extremely fast paced and meet deadlines as needed.
Can demonstrate competence with complex computer applications and aptitude for problem solving in a computerized environment.
Ability to demonstrate knowledge and make sound judgement as needed and the ability to keep up with development in the accounting field.
Must possess manual dexterity required for routine office work and including data entry and word.
EDUCATION, LICENSURE, AND EXPERIENCE:
Associates Degree is required and Bachelors preferred.
Additional business accounting course training preferred.
Applicable accounts payable/payroll experience may be accepted in lieu of additional business courses
Three years or experience in Accounts Payable/Payroll and/or business accounting within a multi-entity hospital setting preferred.
ADP Workforce /UKG experience preferred.
