Senior Project Manager - Integration & Data Systems
Position Summary We are seeking a Senior Project Manager who combines deep technical understanding of integration and data systems with exceptional PMO skills. This role requires the ability to independently analyze technical challenges and dependencies while maintaining rigorous project discipline, stakeholder management, and delivery excellence.
Key Responsibilities Technical Project Leadership
Lead complex integration and data projects with deep technical understanding Independently analyze technical dependencies, risks, and blockers across data systems Make informed decisions on project sequencing, technical approaches, and resource allocation Identify and resolve technical conflicts before they impact project timelines Translate complex technical requirements into actionable project plans PMO Excellence & Project Discipline
Establish and maintain rigorous project governance, reporting, and tracking processes Conduct effective status meetings, milestone reviews, and stakeholder communications Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation with precision Implement standardized PMO methodologies and best practices Maintain comprehensive project documentation and risk registers Stakeholder Management & Communication
Form and facilitate steering committees with directors and senior leadership Manage complex stakeholder relationships across technical and business teams Provide clear, actionable status updates and escalate issues appropriately Build consensus among diverse stakeholder groups with competing priorities Present technical concepts and project status to executive leadership Procurement & Vendor Management
Develop RFI/RFP documents with detailed specifications Manage complete procurement processes with strong vendor relationship management Evaluate technical proposals while maintaining procurement discipline Coordinate vendor activities and ensure contractual compliance Required Qualifications Technical Competency
7+ years of senior project management experience with hands-on technical background Strong technical understanding of data architecture, databases, and integration patterns Ability to independently assess technical feasibility and identify dependencies Experience understanding data modeling, ETL processes, APIs, and system integration PMO & Project Management Excellence
Proven track record of rigorous project discipline and delivery excellence Strong experience with project governance, reporting, and stakeholder management Excellent follow-up skills and ability to drive accountability across teams Experience managing complex project schedules, budgets, and resource plans Demonstrated success with RFI/RFP processes and vendor management Leadership & Communication Skills
Experience building and leading cross-functional teams and steering committees Excellent communication skills across technical and executive audiences Strong analytical mindset with ability to balance technical and business priorities Proven ability to manage competing stakeholder demands and expectations Track record of building credibility with both technical teams and business leadership Core Competencies
Deep understanding of data integration, migration, and management principles Knowledge of modern data platforms, cloud architectures, and integration tools Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance requirements Basic awareness of AI/ML technologies and their integration requirements Proficiency in PMO tools, methodologies, and project management software Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field PMP certification with technical certifications (cloud platforms, data management) Experience in utility or energy sector Previous hands-on experience in technical roles (data engineering, system integration) Experience with enterprise-level system implementations The Ideal Candidate Will
