Job Title: Program Coordinator, YGB Early Childhood Apprenticeship Program Reports To: Program Manager, Early Childhood Apprenticeship Program Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000 Center: Education and Training Center The YMCA of Greater Boston's (YGB) Education & Training Center delivers high-quality adult education and workforce development programs. Our Early Childhood Apprenticeship Program empowers individuals to earn early childhood education credentials while gaining hands-on experience. Apprentices serve in paid full-time assistant teacher roles while they complete 150 hours of structured learning and at least 2,000 hours of on-the-job training. The YMCA of Greater Boston is looking for a passionate team player who is dynamic, organized, and relationship focused. In this role, the Early Childhood Apprenticeship Program Coordinator will guide apprentices through their educational and professional journey, collaborate with others to ensure program excellence, and provide access to relevant wraparound services to support apprentice success. Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Enrollment Conduct outreach to recruit diverse, motivated apprentices. Host engaging information sessions to inspire applicants. Screen and assess candidates for eligibility and fit per program standards Provide tailored support for resume, application, interviews and match them with employer partners. Input student information and complete required enrollment and intake documentation Create regular. streamlined, effective progress reports for key internal stakeholders Program Coordination Facilitate and support strong relationships between apprentices and employers. Coordinate the delivery of personalized wraparound services to address apprentices' needs, such as completing financial aid, applying for scholarships and colleges, and conducting job searches. Track progress, provide case management and support individual needs on a case-by-case basis to overcome challenges. Provide regular updates on apprentice progress to Program Manager Provide support and advising to apprentices facing obstacles, connecting them with resources like childcare or food assistance. Monitor attendance and follow up with apprentices on attendance issues. Participate in professional development to build capacity and develop personal goals. Retention Services Regularly update documentation tracking employment, retention and career progress for all apprentices Develop and implement strategies to support and enhance employee retention through targeted programs and initiatives. Meet 1:1 with apprentices to review individual goals, track progress, and update plans. Analyze retention data and trends, providing insights and recommendations to improve employee retention strategies and reduce turnover. Supply internal stakeholders with accurate data and analysis for meetings, proposals and grant management to improve employee retention strategies and reduce turnover. Foster a positive program culture by facilitating regular communication and feedback channels between employees and leadership. Regularly evaluate and refine retention strategies based on employee feedback, performance metrics, and best practices. Provide administrative and project support to retention-focused initiatives, ensuring effective implementation and monitoring. Collaborate with managers to address retention challenges and implement tailored solutions to retain top talent. Provide ongoing support and resources to employees to help them thrive in their roles and stay engaged with the organization. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Work experience in Adult Education, Early Childhood education, workforce development, human services, or related field Experience in program coordination, adult education, ESOL, or career advising. Exceptional organizational and project management skills. Strong interpersonal, communication, and counseling abilities. Proven cultural competency and experience with diverse populations. Familiarity with student data systems and assessment tools Ability to teach and facilitate group sessions effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management systems.
