Job Title
Responsibilities Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for CMM-related activities, providing guidance and technical support to the inspection team. Develop, program, and validate CMM inspection routines and programs to ensure accurate and repeatable measurements. Perform complex CMM inspections on incoming materials and components, interpreting detailed engineering drawings and GD&T. Train and mentor team members on CMM operation, proper fixturing techniques, and basic program interpretation. Write CMM programs from scratch, aiming to increase output from 2 to 3-4 programs per week. Oversee the work of 2 Quality Technicians and 2 Receiving Inspectors. Travel to the Itasca site (moving to Elgin in early 2026) twice a week. Essential Skills 3+ years of experience programming CMM equipment. Proficiency in Zeiss CMM
Calypso Software preferred. Familiarity with PC-DMIS software is acceptable. Ability to interpret detailed engineering drawings and GD&T.
