The Chief Of Staff (COS) to the President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is a critically important role, enabling the CEO to work most effectively with internal and external stakeholders and fulfill his/her commitment to the organization. The COS acts as a strategic partner to the CEO and the primary goal of this role is to enhance the CEO's effectiveness by managing various tasks and projects, allowing the CEO to concentrate on top priorities and long-term objectives. This is not an administrative role but is a highly strategic and facilitative one that requires a combination of focus and flexibility, as well as a willingness to be an active, behind-the-scenes assistant. This role requires a highly resourceful individual with strong emotional intelligence, self-motivation, and strong analytical and project management skills. PIH Health is a nonprofit, regional healthcare network that serves approximately 3 million residents in the Los Angeles County, Orange County and San Gabriel Valley region. The fully integrated network is comprised of PIH Health Downey Hospital, PIH Health Good Samaritan Hospital, PIH Health Whittier Hospital, 37 outpatient medical office buildings, a multispecialty medical (physician) group, home healthcare services and hospice care, as well as heart, cancer, digestive health, orthopedics, womens health, urgent care and emergency services. Required: Bachelors Degree, specializing in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or similar areas is required. Five years of experience in a management position, preferably in a hospital/healthcare setting. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and a tolerance for working on multiple projects simultaneously are essential. Project management skills desired. Proven excellent verbal and written skills, and an ability to take initiative, multi-task and work well under pressure. High level of proficiency in the use of all Microsoft Office programs is required. Preferred: Masters Degree Experience in a management position, preferably in a hospital/healthcare setting Project management skills Understanding of business operations and strategic execution
