Supervisor, Operations
Supervises the day-to-day operations of water and/or wastewater distribution or production systems in accordance with Company policies and procedures and all applicable governmental laws and regulations. Will rotate within the distribution, collections and production environments support the Central Division. Key Accountabilities: Supervise and coordinate capital projects, operations, and maintenance within established budget limitations Assure policies, procedures, programs and performance are adhered to ensure the continuing and increasing operational efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability Supports the training and development of personnel in proper operational integrity (quality, environment, reliability, health, safety, security, etc.) is maintained Supports customer service-related issues Inventory management through physical organization and optimization Knowledge/Skills: Experience/Education: Bachelor's or equivalent experience preferred Minimum 2-5 years' experience in Operations/production Applicable Water/Wastewater certifications preferred Travel Requirements: Local and occasional regional travel Certifications/Licenses: Must possess a valid driver's license. Other: Ability to sit, stand, bend, and walk for long periods of time Lift minimum 25lbs. Occasional hands-on work required. Ability to obtain necessary certifications Ability to build relationships with: Customers, Union, Management level staff, local Operations staff, American Water Departments i.e. finance, water quality, legal, SCADA, Maintenance Services, Safety, vendors, outside contractors, and/or consultants. Local, State, and Regulatory officials Monday - Friday (onsite) 7AM - 330PM Competencies: Develops Talent Drives Engagement Decision Quality Prioritizes & Role Models Safety Self-Awareness Plans, Aligns, & Directs
