The Transfer Pricing Senior Manager will combine his/her tax expertise to lead a team of professionals and manage the transfer pricing strategy function. This role is a blend of finance, economics, strategy, business partnering, and legal analysis and includes activity around transfer pricing methodology and global tax audit defense. The candidate will act as an important liaison among Corporate Global Tax, regional tax personnel, and global finance and accounting teams. This role reports to the Senior Director in Transfer Pricing and is an integral part of TE's global Tax Department. As part of the Tax team, the Transfer Pricing Senior Manager will join a group of professionals who are passionate about working on some of the most dynamic challenges in Transfer Pricing. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of economic theory and transfer pricing principles (interpretation and application); and will be able to collaborate and thrive in a global environment while maintaining integrity, taking accountability, working together, and championing innovation. This position is based in Berwyn, Pennsylvania. Responsibilities: Provide analysis and support for the development, implementation, and defense of an arm's length transfer pricing policy. Collaborate with tax team members to identify and implement tax planning solutions, including the management of financial and functional analyses. Support mergers and acquisitions by performing transfer pricing due diligence, developing planning strategies, and providing post-acquisition integration support. Lead research and prepare transfer pricing opinions on a broad range of transfer pricing matters. Develop, implement, and document BEPS compliant transfer pricing models to identify and proactively implement measures to mitigate transfer pricing risk. Develop and support intercompany financial transactions, model financial outcomes of cross-border arrangements, and prepare data-driven recommendations. Support the preparation of intellectual property and legal entity valuations. Oversee and manage transfer pricing documentation and compliance for intercompany transactions. Collaborate with various stakeholders to proactively address transfer pricing audits and controversies. Communicate transfer pricing strategies, policies, and results with key stakeholders, including senior management and external auditors. Manage projects in a dynamic and complex environment. Partner closely with third-party consultants and auditors to ensure all tax requirements are achieved both timely and accurately. Address developments in the US/OECD tax and transfer pricing regulations, actively assess risks and opportunities attendant to those developments. Job Requirements
Success in the role requires exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, solid research skills, highly developed oral and written communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. 10+ years of demonstrated exceptional analytical and quantitative skills through advanced econometric modeling and data analysis. Conducted high-level quantitative research involving time-series forecasting, cost benefit analysis, and regression modeling to make informed strategic economic decisions. Experience in a top-tier consulting firm, legal environment, or multinational corporation with data-driven economic analysis projects. Completed a degree in higher education such as a Master's degree or PhD is preferred. Proficient in financial modeling, Excel, AI tools, Alteryx, and Bloomberg. Excellent research, written and verbal communication skills, ability to work well in a team environment and/or independently; attention to details. Experience in working with large data samples.
