Floor Technician - Environmental Services Team

Are you someone who takes pride in clean, polished, and well-cared-for spaces? Do you love seeing floors go from "meh" to "WOW"? We're looking for a Floor Care Technician who's ready to roll (literally!) with a team that values quality, safety, and a job well done. In this role, you'll be the go-to pro for keeping our facility's floors in top shape - from glossy hallways to spotless patient rooms. You'll operate cool equipment, tackle hands-on projects, and help us maintain a clean, safe environment for everyone who walks through our doors. And when needed, you'll jump in to support our Environmental Services team to keep the whole place running smoothly. Follow a floor care schedule to keep surfaces looking sharp and squeaky clean. Operate a variety of floor machines - think buffers, scrubbers, polishers, extractors - safely and efficiently. Strip, wax, refinish, and maintain all types of floors throughout the building. Tackle project work like deep cleans and spot-treatments as assigned. Pitch in with general housekeeping duties when needed - because teamwork makes the dream work. Read and understand labels on cleaning supplies to stay safe and smart. Communicate professionally with patients, visitors, and teammates - we're all in this together! A friendly, team-player attitude and strong work ethic. Solid communication skills in English - both speaking and reading. Physical strength and stamina to lift 50+ pounds safely and work on your feet for a full shift. Experience bending, stooping, and hustling hard during floor projects (stripping/refinishing takes some effort!). Comfort with using powered equipment like vacuums, buffers, and scrubbers - and keeping them in tip-top shape. A knack for following safety guidelines and infection control standards. Willingness to learn - and to pass a competency assessment within your first 30-60 days on the job. 6+ months of floor care or Environmental Services experience (especially in healthcare or similar settings). High School Diploma or GED. You're part of a mission that matters - keeping patients, staff, and visitors safe and healthy. Every day is different - new spaces, new projects, new challenges. You get to see the immediate results of your work - clean floors feel good! Supportive team, strong training, and chances to grow. Sound like a good fit? Let's get rolling - apply today and bring your shine to our team! ?
