Pipe Fitter/TIG Welder

We are seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter with experience in industrial production facilities to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with various piping systems and demonstrate proficiency in interpreting technical drawings for successful project execution. Responsibilities

Run piping through active industrial production facilities with precision and care. Work with butt weld and socket weld systems, handling steel pipes up to 8" in diameter. Interpret plan view and elevation view drawings to accurately understand projects. Understand and implement Process and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID) to coordinate installation of valves and instruments. Generate isometric drawings for fabrication, ensuring proper take-offs and cut lengths from field measurements. Field route piping as required, utilizing expertise in welded, threaded, Victaulic piping, carbon, and stainless steel. Read and comprehend P&ID and orthogonal drawings to disseminate and create isometric drawings. Handle materials including Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Fiberglass, PVC, HDPE, and Copper with various welding techniques. Layout pipelines including elevation changes and directional flow adjustments. Install in-line instrumentation, valves, and other necessary appurtenances. Commit to occasional weekend work with a typical schedule of four 10-hour days starting at 6:30 AM. Essential Skills

2-5 years of previous experience in pipe fitting, preferably in an industrial environment. Familiarity with ASME codes and standards. Proficiency in SMAW, GTAW, and FCAW welding processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications

The role involves working onsite at heavy industrial projects, including new construction for manufacturing plants and heavy mechanical construction. Be prepared for harsh weather conditions, as you may occasionally need to shovel snow to access work sites. Work will be split between locations in Virginia and Maryland. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
