Safety & Compliance Specialist
The Safety & Compliance Specialist provides administrative support for the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Department. The Safety & Compliance Specialist primarily manages certificates of insurance, third party contractor management database, and Environmental, Health and Safety assessments to ensure compliance with customer requirements. Job Duties
Provides administrative support for the Environmental, Health & Safety Department in the following areas: facility and vehicle safety, workers compensation, employee benefits, environmental and hazardous materials compliance. Proactively administers third party Environmental, Health and Safety databases to ensure compliance with various insurance and safety related requirements. Manages requests for Certificates of Insurance from customers and Motion locations. Reviews customer contracts to ensure insurance and safety compliance. Completes contractor surveys and pre-qualification questionnaires. Adheres to established safety, health and environmental policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Education & Experience
Typically requires a high school diploma or GED Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience or an equivalent combination. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
High level verbal and written communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide variety of employees at all levels of the organization, suppliers, customers and regulatory agencies High degree of initiative, decision-making skills, and judgment Working knowledge of EHS-related regulations, programs, certifications and reporting requirements. Strong reliability, organization, attention to detail and dedication to producing high quality work. Advanced computer skills required, including communicating internally and externally via email, performing technical calculations, and generating reports; proficient at using business systems (Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, web-based applications, Company Operating System, Adobe and other electronic tools Demonstrated customer service orientation.
