Provide instruction of non-credit recreational courses offered through the Athletics, Wellness & Community Recreation Department. Essential Functions
Responsible for providing instruction to students and community members Responsible for developing and presenting the department with a curriculum that provides students with a full experience and is structured to accommodate all fitness levels Responsible for setting up and cleaning up after each class Performs other duties as assigned Required Qualifications
Education and Experience/Training High School Diploma (or equivalent) Minimum of two years of demonstrated experience Required CPR/first aid certifications Ability to read, understand, and enforce safety procedures Ability to perform an aerobic activity for the duration of the class Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Possess basic knowledge of fundamental subject area concepts, practices and procedures with the ability to apply in varied situations as it pertains to the departmental focus Possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Demonstrated basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel Possess sensitivity to appropriately respond to the needs of a diverse population Competencies Critical Competencies Service Focus Communication Quality of Work Very Important Competencies Time Utilization Collaboration Important Competencies Adaptability Continuous Improvement Preferred Qualifications
Education and Experience/Training Associates Degree in related field Demonstrated experience with community-based instruction Certifications/licenses, as applicable Professional presentation skills Physical Demands/Working Conditions
