This position is responsible for performing a variety of tests on furniture products to assess their durability, safety, and performance. This role will work closely with engineers and other team members to support product development and ensure compliance with industry standards and ISO 17025 accreditation requirements. Key Responsibilities
Other duties as assigned: Conduct routine and specialized tests on furniture products, including load testing, stability assessments, and material evaluations, according to established protocols Operate and maintain testing equipment and tools, ensuring they are calibrated and in good working condition Document test results accurately and systematically, maintaining detailed records for quality assurance and compliance purposes Work closely with engineers and designers to provide feedback on product performance and suggest improvements based on test findings Adhere to safety protocols and procedures in the lab to maintain a safe working environment for all team members Assist in the development and refinement of testing methods and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy Help manage lab supplies and equipment, ensuring that resources are available and organized Able to program PLC's Scope & Impact
Supports the Test Lab in conducting and recording testing, communicating objective, repeatable empirical data to the lab customers and ensuring compliance to the ISO 17025 standard. Minimum Requirements
Associate's degree with 0-2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent Familiarity with testing standards (e.g., ANSI/BIFMA, UL, ASTM, ISO) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively Basic knowledge of mechanical principles Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Proficiency in using standard lab equipment and software for data recording and analysis Proficient in Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook & Project) Preferred Requirements
Able to program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) Familiarity with lab process controls (ISO 17025) Some familiarity with furniture construction, textiles, or small electronic products Supervisory Responsibilities
None Physical Demands/Work Environment
Often required to sit, repetitive hand motion (such as typing), hear, listen, talk, stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, balance, reach overhead, crawl, push and lift
up to 50 pounds. Seldom required to climb stairs, climb ladders or lift up to 75 pounds. Not required to shovel. Other Duties

Weekly Hours: 40 Benefit offerings to employees in the US include: Medical, Vision, Dental and Basic Life Insurance available 401k retirement plan with company match of up to 6%.
