Senior Underwriting Operations Associate
The Senior Underwriting Operations Associate is responsible for supporting the underwriting process by managing operational tasks, coordinating with various teams, and ensuring efficient workflow. This role requires a strong understanding of underwriting operations, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Job Responsibilities: Support the underwriting process by managing operational tasks such as data entry, document management, and policy issuance. Coordinate with underwriters, brokers, and clients to gather necessary information and documents. Ensure efficient workflow by prioritizing tasks, managing timelines, and resolving bottlenecks. Maintain accurate records of underwriting decisions, policy changes, and client interactions in the company's database. Assist in the development and implementation of underwriting operations policies and procedures. Provide training and guidance to junior staff on operational tasks and best practices. Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and consistency of underwriting operations. Collaborate with other departments such as claims, finance, and legal to ensure seamless service delivery. Stay updated with changes in industry regulations and company policies that impact underwriting operations. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of underwriting operations. Work Experience and Education: Bachelor's in Risk Management or Business with 2+ years of experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience Licenses & Certifications: Chartered Property Causalty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Commerical Underwriting (AU), Certified Insurance Service Representation (CISR) or Associate in Insurance Data Management (AIDM) is preferred Technical/Functional Skills: Underwriting Knowledge, Operation Skills, Data Management, Regulatory Knowledge Behavioral Skills: Effective Communication, Problem-Solving, Adaptability, Time Management, Leadership, Continuous Learning Ryan Specialty is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
