Register in advance for this meeting Summary of Duties: As the Developmental Disabilities Director, you will: Promote and foster a diverse, inclusive, and harassment-free workplace that values cultural competence, kindness, humility, and ongoing education in cultural awareness. Lead and oversee the development, monitoring, and implementation of statewide I/DD policies and programs, using data-driven decision-making and innovative solutions to meet evolving needs. Represent ODHS and ODDS in legislative, federal, Tribal, and public forums; develop and advocate for legislation, maintain collaborative relationships with policymakers, and manage legislative initiatives. Provide visionary leadership in partnership with community service providers and partners to ensure culturally competent, equitable service delivery, shared accountability, and strong collaboration across ODHS divisions. Oversee and accountable for all operational management including budgeting, resource allocation, and information system priorities; ensure compliance with federal, state, and agency policies. Cultivates strong partnerships with Community Developmental Disability Programs (CDDPs) and Brokerages to promote collaborative leadership, shared decision-making, and joint accountability for both program-specific and department-wide outcomes, ensuring service delivery is culturally competent and equitable. Support and develop ODDS leadership and staff through coaching, performance feedback, and fostering a respectful, diverse work environment aligned with ODHS core values. Act as an external enterprise leader by engaging advocates, providers, and coalitions at state and local levels to align efforts with ODHS and ODDS program goals. Champion the program's vision and integrates diverse perspectives into strategic and service delivery decisions. Minimum Qualifications: Nine years of management experience; OR six years of management experience and a bachelor's degree in a related field.
