Maintenance Supervisor

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel's maintenance department, ensuring that all building systems, equipment, and facilities are well maintained, safe, and operating efficiently. This role requires strong leadership skills, hands-on technical expertise, and the ability to manage a small team to deliver excellent guest satisfaction while meeting brand standards. Key Responsibilities

Supervision & Leadership Lead and oversee the maintenance team, assigning daily tasks and ensuring work is completed on time.

Train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance, ensuring compliance with company and Hampton Inn brand standards.

Maintenance & Repairs Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on hotel equipment, systems, and facilities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems.

Respond promptly to guest service requests and maintenance issues.

Ensure guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas are maintained in top condition.

Safety & Compliance Monitor and maintain compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.

Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs for all hotel systems.

Ensure fire, life, and safety systems are fully operational and tested regularly.

Budget & Inventory Management Assist with budgeting and controlling maintenance expenses.

Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies, placing orders as needed.

Review vendor contracts and coordinate with external service providers when required.

Project Management Coordinate and supervise capital improvement projects and renovations.

Work closely with the General Manager to identify and prioritize maintenance needs.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in hotel or building maintenance, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building systems.

Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings, as needed.

Strong commitment to guest service and satisfaction.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing.

Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
