Aeronautics Company Texas The candidate Material Review (MR) Engineer will provide support for detail fabrication, sub-assembly, component assembly and wing production operations. Primary duties include anomaly investigation, technical solution development and coordination, and preparation and release of dispositions related to discrepancies on high performance aircraft detail parts, assemblies, installations and finishes. As an MR engineer, the candidate will be required to coordinate across a large number of functional areas and LM Aero sites to include: Stress/Durability and Damage Tolerance, Quality Assurance, Planning, Functional Test, Structures and Systems Design groups, Safety, Materials and Processes, and Flight Sciences. Selected candidate will work closely with the production floor, support process improvements, incorporate best practices into daily operations, and coordinate lessons learned and corrective action. The position is for 1st shift supporting the F35 aircraft. Occasional weekend, off-shift and holiday coverage will be required. Candidate will be open to participating in temporary duty assignments for a duration of 1-3 months at domestic and international facilities as onsite MR support. Business travel will also be expected to these locations on an occasional basis. Position requires a willingness to participate in occasional temporary rotations on other shifts (2nd & 3rd) for training and to support operations. This role requires hands-on involvement in evaluating non-conformances on aircraft and components, which may include climbing, working in confined spaces, working under low surfaces and handling parts in a fast-paced production environment. Applicant selected will be required to obtain Material Review certification. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance, and is located at a facility that requires special access. Willing to work some weekends, holidays, and off-shifts. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
