Sakonnet Early Learning Center seeks a nurturing Lead Pre-K Teacher who will champion kindergarten readiness through a child-centered, standards-aligned curriculum. Bring your expertise in curriculum development, classroom management, and early childhood development to help children ages 45 thrive in a warm, inclusive setting. What You'll Do: Design and deliver an engaging, hands-on Pre-K curriculum that blends active learning and learning through play to build early literacy, numeracy, science, and social-emotional skills. Incorporate Reggio Emilia, Montessori, HighScope, or project-based learning principles to ignite curiosity and foster independence. Track developmental milestones using observational assessments and share progress with families. Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning styles. Collaborate with families and fellow educators to promote consistency and excellence. What We're Looking For: CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. At least 2 years of Pre-K teaching experience in a licensed early childhood setting. Strong skills in lesson planning, classroom management, and positive behavior support. Knowledge of kindergarten readiness benchmarks, play-based learning, and child development. Warm, reliable, and team-oriented with excellent communication skills.
