In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Functions in a lead wastewater process engineer role as a technical specialist Using processes such as physical/chemical primary treatment, conventional activated sludge, biological nutrient removal, fixed-film processes, membrane bio-reactors (MBR), sidestream treatment, tertiary filtration, and disinfection Provide technical guidance over a process team, supervise engineering staff on projects, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary design teams to implement complex treatment solutions The Team

Engineering: Prepares a variety of complex engineering deliverables Typically supports multiple projects simultaneously with complex technical challenges Serves as a technical specialist with knowledge and skillset providing guidance to project teams Performs complex research, including applied research activities Develops recommendations for appropriate treatment processes Oversees collection, assimilation, analysis, and management of data Prepares process models and carries out complex engineering calculations Client Focus: Responsible for assisting with identification of key client interests Communicates client interests and drivers to project teams Provides support to business development or pursuit activities Attends and presents on state-of-the-art wastewater treatment projects People Management: Actively fosters knowledge management and provides mentoring May assist with performance management process Participate in coaching opportunities, career development planning Engineering Standards: Provides guidance and direction on department design guides Assists in developing, maintaining and updating engineering standards Provides technical guidance to others Quality / Continuous Improvement: Independently applies knowledge and complies with quality program May be responsible for ensuring compliance Provides related guidance and direction to others Supports continuous improvement and change management efforts Actively coordinates with all other internal/external team members Resource Management - (budgets, tools, processes, project support): Implements resource management strategy Manages engineering resources for small groups Administrative: Ensures policies, procedures, and processes are effectively implemented Ensures adherence to corporate and division programs May approve expense reports Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering preferred 10 years of experience in wastewater treatment Advanced knowledge of process design for treatment of municipal wastewater Experience with modern process simulators Established leadership skills Effective written and oral communications Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program. Minimum of 8 years related work experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements. Certifications

Professional engineering license from any of the states in the USA or ability to obtain one within 2 years of employment required. Work Environment/Physical Demands
