Job Description

Boiler Operator – You’ll Be the One Keeping Us Running Location:

Syracuse, NY Shift:

6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (First Shift) Pay:

$34.02/hr (and yes, we pay fairly based on your skillset) This job isn’t for everyone. But if you know your way around steam boilers, control systems, and high-pressure lines like the back of your hand, keep reading. We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just “fix” things — we want someone who understands how a powerhouse really works. Someone who takes pride in keeping the lights on, the pressure steady, and the machines humming. What You’ll Do (a.k.a. Your Domain): Keep our steam boilers, air compressors, and electrical systems in top shape — install, maintain, repair, repeat.

Handle pressurized systems with confidence: water, steam, oil, compressed air, and gas lines.

Run chemical tests and know what the numbers mean — we trust your judgment.

Tear down, troubleshoot, and rebuild equipment that others are afraid to touch.

Use tools, pipe benders, torches, and your brain — because this isn’t just a wrench-turning job.

Read schematics like they’re bedtime stories and follow diagrams with zero guesswork.

Troubleshoot both analog and digital control systems (yes, both).

Make sure the building breathes — edit schedules in our energy management system.

You’re a Match If You’ve Got: At least 3 years working hands-on with steam boilers, motors, pumps, and powerhouse gear.

The ability to read schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings without blinking.

U.S. work authorization (we’re not set up to sponsor roles for this one).

Bonus Points If: You’ve spent 5+ years in a powerhouse technician role.

You’ve worked in a manufacturing setting — where every second of downtime counts.

You can look at a problem and already see the solution in your head.

Perks You Actually Care About: 401(k) with company match — because your future matters.

Health, dental, and vision insurance — starts Day 1.

PTO and paid holidays — you’ve earned it.

Employee Assistance Program — support when life gets heavy.

Bottom Line: If you like being the one people call when stuff breaks, and you know how to make it work again — we’d love to talk.
