Job Description
General Position Summary
This role is responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with headquarters, existing and prospective investors, as well as managing investor communications and supporting the company’s fundraising and strategic planning initiatives. The position also involves preparing high-impact decision-making materials in both English and Japanese for the company’s executive leadership and stakeholders.
Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesInternal Analysis & Strategic Reporting
Analyze real estate market trends and provide actionable forecasts and strategy recommendations. Collaborate closely with the Acquisitions and Asset Management teams to compile and summarize internal reports in both English and Japanese. Regularly monitor and distribute key market data and internal reports to the company’s headquarters. Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to guide business strategy. Develop and deliver data-driven presentations and reports that support key organizational decisions. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure data alignment and strategic execution. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational and decision-making efficiency. Draft proposals and strategic presentations to facilitate focused decision-making across departments. Serve as a liaison between departments and headquarters, ensuring seamless coordination across projects. Produce ad hoc reports and analyses as requested by leadership or internal departments.
Investor Relations & Fundraising Support
Act as the primary contact for current and prospective investors, responding to inquiries and managing communications in a professional and timely manner. Build and maintain trusted relationships with investors by providing consistent updates on market performance, portfolio status, and new opportunities. Conduct research to identify and engage new potential investors aligned with the firm’s strategic objectives. Prepare and issue periodic and interim reports on current properties and investment performance in both English and Japanese. Design and prepare marketing materials for new offerings to support investor decision-making. Arrange and facilitate property tours, handling communications and providing translation support as necessary. Attend investor meetings and conferences (virtually and in person), providing interpretation and translation (English-Japanese) as needed. Develop and deliver compelling, technically sound investment presentations covering fund performance, market outlooks, and portfolio updates. Maintain and update the investor database, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Real Estate, Statistics, or a related discipline—or equivalent work experience. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in capital raising, investor relations, or real estate investment strategy.
Skills & Competencies
Language: Business-level fluency in both Japanese and English (written and spoken) is required. Strong analytical and quantitative skills; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office Suite. Excellent communication skills with the ability to craft clear, concise, and persuasive materials. Solid understanding of real estate investment markets is preferred. Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights. Highly collaborative, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Information
This position may require occasional travel to attend investor meetings, property site visits, or conferences. Other duties may be assigned as necessary based on business needs.
